Jake O’Donovan is a Director in Carpenter Farraday’s Private Markets team, specialising in sales and investor relations mandates across private equity and infrastructure. He leads independent searches and coordinated team builds for general partners across EMEA and North America, working with both institutional and private wealth investor channels.
Jake brings a strong analytical foundation and commercial perspective from his earlier experience in professional services and banking. Prior to joining Carpenter Farraday, he worked as an Analyst at Allied Irish Bank, where he was responsible for the valuation of performing and non-performing loan portfolios – experience that gives Jake practical insight into credit, asset quality and financial modelling.
First joining Carpenter Farraday in 2020, before spending a period with a boutique infrastructure-focused search firm, Jake returned in 2024 to further expand the firm’s private markets coverage. His expertise spans fundraising, investment and capital solutions roles, with a particular focus on senior hiring from VP through to Partner level.
Jake holds a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from University College Cork and an MSc in International Law and Business from UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
