Michael Bergin is a Managing Director in Carpenter Farraday’s Private Markets team and has been with the firm since 2017. Michael focuses on senior hiring across Europe, appointing professionals in private equity, private credit and real assets, with particular expertise in investor relations and fundraising roles.
Michael brings a strong blend of search experience and front-line industry knowledge. Before joining Carpenter Farraday, Michael worked in institutional client and consultant relations at AllianceBernstein, advising on pension strategy engagement across the UK and Ireland. Earlier roles include reporting analysis at Orbis Investment Management and tax consulting within PwC’s Asset Management team.
With a Bachelor of Commerce and German from University College Dublin, Michael is also a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and Chartered Tax Consultant (AITI), as well as holding the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA Society of the UK. His expertise in private markets investor relations, combined with an analytical background and deep sector knowledge, enables Michael to advise clients on the people and capabilities required to support long-term fundraising and investment objectives.
